FAQ Suggestion. How to suggest your materials (Site)
The Desktop Land! directory is organized by subject. Most products in it are suggested to us by users. Products are placed in categories by Desktop Land! Surfers, who visit and evaluate your suggestions and decide where they best belong. We do this to ensure that Desktop Land! is organized in the best possible way, making the directory easy to use, intuitive, helpful, and fair to everyone.
With this in mind, we ask that you follow three simple, yet important steps if you have a product (URL) you'd like to suggest:
Step 1: Find the Appropriate Category in Desktop Land!
Finding an appropriate category for your product (site) is at the heart of this process. Remember that Desktop Land! Surfers visit each site suggested to us, and proper categorization on your part helps us process suggestions quickly.
What is an appropriate category? Click here to read a list of important pointers explaining how we organize our directory.
Step 2. Suggest your site from the Appropriate Category
Suggest your art product from the category you think most appropriate. Do this by clicking on the "Suggest a Product" link at the bottom of that category page. (It's just to the right of the copyright and the "Company Information" link.) Again, there is a list of important pointers to help you establish where your site belongs. Also remember that the final placement of your art product (site) is determined by Desktop Land! Surfers. Finally, suggesting a art product (site) is free. You pay us nothing.
When you click on "Suggest a Art Product" in the appropriate category, you'll see an online form asking for information about your art product (site). (In the "category" space on the form, you'll see the name of the category you've chosen.)
